Storytelling bookings can be finalised

Although the following details are aimed at schools, librarians may use them as a guide. I often visit more than one library in a day, so costs can be shared.

Normal Primary Days

The cost for a normal day of multiple perfs.
is based on £1
per pupil (school roll).

A normal full day min. is £199
This includes two to three perfs.

A two day Pri. storytelling booking will typically include:
Day 1: 3 Inf. performances;  Day 2: 3 Junior perfs. -

Full Plus Primary Days

The cost for a Full Plus Day of multiple perfs.
is based on £1
per pupil (school roll).
A Full Plus Day min. is £

This includes up to four perfs.


This format is advised when numbers are large.
You
will save on a second day's travel costs.

Please note that for some larger schools, two days
are sometimes more appropriate

Session times vary and are appropriate to the children involved.
They are usually anything from 20 to 45 mins. in length.

You know your children, and the difficulties they have, so I will always ask you for some outline details of the pupils in the proposed groups in order that the best content and approach are used. References from other Special Schools can be given.

Even though petrol prices continue to rise, my travel
charges
remain very low compared with county rates.
Current rate: 36ppm
Travel is always calculated from my Essex base.

Please note: For sessions to take place, all class teachers (rather than TAs) must remain with their children throughout.

The following details form part of all educational (e.g. sch & lib) booking agreements and contracts
Please note that these conditions apply from the time of booking.
Please be aware that both verbal ('phone), and email bookings, are legally binding.
In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel, please let me know a.s.a.p.
Please make sure you speak to me (not e.g. answerphone or email)
I will try to book other venues for the date(s) and not charge you.
However, if I am unable to do so, you will be charged and invoiced at the following rates.
Cancellation made -
Between 2 - 3 calendar months before Perf./Wk.shops  - 25% of fee
Between 1 - 2 calendar months before Perf./Wk.shops  - 50% of fee
Between 0 - 1 calendar month before Perf./Wk.shops  - 100% of fee
If I have paid for accommodation and you cancel, you will be charged.

If I cancel, I will offer an alternative date with a 5% reduction on the session fee.
On completion of contract
- If full payment is delayed, interest at 8% above current base rate may be charged.

Travel is always calculated from my Essex base. Although accommodation is not normally charged,
the travel fee will sometimes be used to contribute towards these costs.
If you cancel and I have already booked and paid for accommodation, you will be charged for this.
