Entertainment for children & families

"Storytelling at its finest" - Jill Freud

Storytelling at other venues

Bright and lively storytelling performances that all the family will enjoy.

In the open air at a festival or in a theatre; wherever you want a story I will tell you one.

Storytelling performances can last from 20 minutes to an hour or more, depending on requirements and circumstances.

The format of a day is so variable that it's best to contact me and we'll have a chat to work out what's best for you.

VAT is not charged and there are no agency fees.

For a general idea of costs, please see here.

Outside venues are expected to supply suitable shade/shelter. Power may be required.

Thank you so much for Saturday's event. You were a huge success. I have had so many good comments and feedback, from adults and children!
It was good to meet you. Thanks again."

The Big Draw - Chislehurst

The feedback at The Cliffs Pavilion for your presentation was highly positive - unanimously. Everyone enjoyed your sessions. By having you as the last presenter it rounded the conference off perfectly and the evaluations support this."

Southwold & Aldeburgh Summer Theatres

Thank you so much for the wonderful time you gave the children. I'll look forward to seeing you and hearing some of your stories next year.

This has been one of my regular bookings for years.

Warwick & Leamington Festival

This was Storytelling with everything; the children were involved and took part from the beginning in an enchanting story. There were opportunities for whole group participation as well as for individual children to volunteer to play parts. If you need to entertain a large group of human beings ranging in age from two months old to eighty, book Charlie Wilson.

The Brent Literature Festival

Brent Library Service had not used Charlie Wilson before this Summer, but we were recommended him by a book club. He came to our Literature Festival, and both the staff and the children were thrilled by his performance. He was everything we were told he would be, and more! A magical and enthralling storyteller, it certainly won't be long before we have him back by popular demand. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a first rate storyteller.

"Brilliant! It's how Storytelling should be! The variety was great. We were very pleased with the quality of the performances, with their vibrancy and colour.
Definitely a value for money show!"

Well done on winning an audience over from World Cup fever. Your colourful set and interactive songs and stories captivated the children, who loved joining in and trying out the different instruments you brought with you.
Thank you for your high quality performance and professional approach to the day.
